Falling in love, promising an eternity of love, or dealing with love’s loss has inspired some of the best choral music ever written. Come with the Sacramento Master Singers as they explore the excitement, joys, thrills, heartbreaks, and disappointments of romantic love with the aid of history’s nest composers. Featuring Go, Lovely Rose by Z. Randall Stroope, partner songs I Love You/What a Wonderful World arranged by Craig Hella Johnson, and Jai Ho! from the movie 'Slumdog Millionaire.' The singers are especially happy to share the dramatic And So I Go On for double choir by Jake Runestad. Join us and experience a lifetime of love in the span of just one concert! With a varied program that includes compositions by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Eric Nelson and David Bednall, texts by William Shakespeare and Elizabeth Barrett Browning, and more, we hope all in our region will join us on May 20th & 21st at First United Methodist Church on 21st & J Streets, and experience the music of romance.
