The motet and madrigal are two of the most important vocal forms throughout music history. Join us as we offer chestnut seetings with Weelke's As Vesta Was From Latmos Hill, Monteverdi's Si Chio Vorrei Morire, Stanford's Beati Quorum Via, and Palestrina's Sicut Cervus. We will sing the area premier of Stephen Hough's miracle mass Missa Mirabilis featuring Heidi Regenmorter on organ.

A Master Singers Christmas

The holiday season can't begin until the Sacramento Master Singers present their annual Christmas Concerts. All the beauty and joy you've come to expect will be presented once again at A Master Singers Christmas: from a meditative candelight processional to exuberant spirituals, and from multicultural repertoire to timeless carols.

Audiences will practically bathe in sound, surrounded by Morten Lauridsen's mesmerizing O Nata Lux and Sir James MacMillan's 17-part antiphonal work And Lo, the Angel of the Lord. The choir will dance and sing the exuberant African chant piece, Noel! Join us at our new venue options and experience why our concerts have become a famly -- and Sacramento -- tradition.

David Friedman's song We Can Be Kind serves as the centerpiece of this concert which celebrates unity in our community. We will also offer premiers of David O's One With the Wind, Sinead O'Connors This is to Mother You, and Rupert Lang's Earth Teach Me. Joining us in this celebration of unity is two-time Grammy®-winning flutist Mary Youngblood.
